The Early Years

Arthur Schrock created Starweld Boats in 1903 as a division of the Star Tank Company. Star Tank built steel tanks for the farming and railroad industries, and Schrock used his experience to develop fishing boats that were lighter and more durable than traditional wooden models. The boats were so popular that the company discontinued building tanks in 1926.



 

A Tradition of Innovation

Starweld Boats have always been known for innovative new designs. In 1965, they introduced the world’s first aluminum fishing boat with a deep-V hull. Starweld also developed torsion beam technology that has rendered traditional I-beam frames obsolete.
